Impalement

This is a form of torture that can be traced back to the 19^th century. In this method, a pole made out of wood or other materials with a sharp point on one end is inserted into the victim’s anal cavity and through the body until the pole partially transpires through the victim’s mouth. Some torturers perfected this form of impalement and were able to insert the pole into the victim without causing any damages to the organs. In other words, the victims were alive through the entire insertion process and kept dangling on the pole until their inevitable death.
